Advisory Committee (SDAC)
The Students with Disabilities Advisory Committee (SDAC)
is chaired by the Academic Registrar and reports directly
to the University's Equal Opportunity Committee.

Students with Disabilities Advisory Committee is involved in:
- principles and policy matters relating to students with disabilities
- the development of strategies for improving access, participation
and outcomes of students with disabilities within the University
- the implementation of the University's policy "Equal Opportunity
for People with Disabilities" as it relates to students with
disabilities
- the design, implementation and monitoring of programs aimed
at increasing the enrolment of people with disabilities in university
studies
- inputs that should be made into policy and revision of policy
at State and Commonwealth level.
In addition, the Committee supports the work of the Disability
Advisers and acts as a point of reference in matters relating to:
- promoting the needs and interests of students with disabilities
- monitoring physical access to the University campus of students
with disabilities
- identifying resources, support and systems available to students
with disabilities
- identifying and promoting professional development needs of
University staff to facilitate successful learning opportunities
for students with disabilities
Matters can be raised through SDAC by contacting the Disability
Advisers, the SEAL Presidents or the Presidents of Student Union
(Hobart campus) or Student Association (Launceston campus).
